Doubly-Terminated LC Ladders

Summary

In this chapter, we have presented the method of realizing a ladder filter that is to be inserted between a source with an internal resistance and a resistive load. The source resistance usually represents the Thévenin’s equivalent impedance of the circuit before the input of the filter. The load resistance represents the input impedance of the circuit or device that is connected to the output of the filter. In practice, this situation occurs far more frequently than the singly-terminated configurations treated in the previous chapter.
