Abstract

As we have noted previously, the dominant effect arising from the exchange of a boson with spin-parityJ P = 0+1- 2+,… is a static spin-independent potential between fermions. By contrast, the exchange of 0-1+… bosons leads to spin-dependent potentials, and we proceed to discuss the phenomenology of such interactions in this section.
