Real estate education and research has a long history in the U.S.A. The largest professional organization in real estate is for real estate sales people (National Association of REALTORS®). It has had as many as one million members in years past. However, the U.S.A. now has about twenty-five different professional organizations dedicated to virtually every area of the profession and all property types. The following list is undoubtedly incomplete, but will convey the flavor and the current level of activity within the real estate profession. See Table 1.
