Malaysia was administered under the British Colonial administration until its independence in 1957. Since independence, Malaysia has developed economically, politically and socially. Land has been cleared for settlement and development of the country. Highways, ports and airports have been built. Since then, property professionals have been in high demand, to support the economic development and real estate activities. The property professions involved are land surveying, land development, land administration and so on. At the same time, real estate activities require professionals who were trained at and have graduated from higher education institutions. As a result, real estate courses are offered at various tertiary and higher education institutions in the country.
