Studying Relations Between Variables

Univariate statistical methods cover applications in which there is a single response variable and any connections between the response variable and explanatory variables is through a mathematical rather than a probabilistic relation. This covers linear models and generalized linear models. The statistical task in univariate statistical applications is to explore the variability in the set of responses.
