In the preceding chapters we have stated results of the Brain Dynamics Research Program concerning data from the human brain. In the present chapter we will demonstrate some tentative models of comparative data obtained from experiments with the cat brain. Results on ERP recordings in the auditory cortex (GEA), reticular formation (RF), and hippocampus (HI) of 9 freely moving cats will be described. The interpretation of these results will be based on analysis of ERPs in the frequency domain. For an overview of measurements of P300-like potentials in animals, see Paller (1988).
