A Statistic Model for Ion Clouds in Paul Traps

This paper present a statistic model for ion clouds in Paul trap. In this model the collision between ions and molecules is a very important factor and space charge effect is considered by self-consist method. Given the parameters of a Paul trap, the properties of ion clouds can be obtained by this model without choosing physical parameters or changing trap parameters.
