Effects of Genotype, Seeding Rate and the Grain Yield Components on the Primary:Secondary Seed Weight Ratio in Oats
- 73 Downloads
If the primary:secondary seed weight ratio is to be considered as a selection criterion, it is important to recognise the sources of variation which affect it. Since the ratio is calculated from primary and secondary grain weights, the factors which effect these traits will determine the ratio, especially if they are affected differentially. In these experiments, the effects of genotype and seeding rate on the ratio and the relationship between the ratio and yield components were investigated.
