Abstract

We report the first resolution of the envelope of P Cyg in Ha using the GI2T spectro-interferometer in the southern France. We detected a localized asymmetry at .8 mas to the South of P Cyg’s photosphere on August 1994. Such observations should be carried systematically on other hot, massive stars to ascertain the physical parameters of their strong winds. The goal is to calibrate the Wind Momentum-Luminosity Relation among WR and 0,B,A supergiant stars for their future use as cosmological candles.
