Abstract

Fitch mentioned in the letter to Timperley that “Japanese troops was found in the safety zone on December 13th, 1937”, but The Thorough Examination of “Nanjing Massacre” considered it wrong and Japanese fictionalists insisted that the Japanese army didn’t enter into safety zone. As to this, the author denies the view of the fictionalists by comparing The Diaries of John Rabe on the 13th, the “wartime records” of the Japanese 6th Division and the diaries of the present Japanese officers.
